What this medicine is for

This medicine contains a wind reliever and antacids, which can be used to relieve bloating and the pain of trapped wind.

It can also be used to relieve the symptoms of indigestion, heartburn and excess acid.

Before you take this medicine
Do not take this medicine if you:
  • are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • have low levels of phosphate in your blood

Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you:
  • have kidney problems
  • take other medicines – tetracycline antibiotics, chloroquine (to prevent malaria), quinolone antibiotics (e.g. ciprofloxacin), penicillamine (for rheumatoid arthritis), phenothiazines (e.g. chlorpromazine for mental problems)

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Important information about some of the other ingredients of this medicine

This medicine contains sucrose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product. May be harmful to the teeth.

This medicine contains 402 mg sorbitol in each tablet. Sorbitol is a source of fructose. If your doctor has told you that you (or your child) have an intolerance to some sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI), a rare genetic disorder in which a person cannot break down fructose, talk to your doctor before you (or your child) take or receive this medicine. Sorbitol may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and mild laxative effect.

How to take this medicine

Always take this medicine exactly as described on this carton or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Check the foil is not broken before use. If it is, do not take that tablet.

Adults and children over 12 years: Take one or two tablets after meals, at bedtime, or when you need to.

Children of 5 to 12 years: Take one tablet after meals, at bedtime, or when you need to

Suck or chew the tablets.

Do not give to children under 5 years.

If symptoms do not go away within 5 days talk to your doctor.

If you take too many tablets: You may feel sick or be sick. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor if this happens.

Possible side effects

Most people will not have problems, but some may get some of these:

  • Occasionally diarrhoea or constipation

How to store this medicine

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister foil.

The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Do not throw away medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.

Active ingredients

Each tablet contains Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel (calculated as Aluminium Oxide) 170 mg, Magnesium Hydroxide 164 mg, Simethicone 25 mg.

Also contains: sucrose, sorbitol (E420), maize starch, povidone, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, peppermint oil.

36 Tablets.
