Read all of this leaflet carefully because it contains important information for you.
This medicine is a traditional herbal medicinal product available without prescription to treat minor conditions. However, you still need to take it carefully to get the best results from it.
What this medicine is for
This traditional herbal medicinal product contains the dried juice of Echinacea purpurea herb which has traditionally been used to relieve the symptoms of the common cold and influenza type infections. Based on traditional use only.
Before you take this medicine
This medicine can be taken by adults and children of 12 years and over. However, some people should not take this medicine or should seek the advice of their pharmacist or doctor first.

Information about some of the ingredients in this medicine. This medicine contains soya oil. If you are allergic to peanut or soya oil, do not take this medicine.
This product contains sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.
Consult your doctor before taking this product
If you are prone to develop allergic reactions. Echinacea can trigger severe life threatening allergic reaction in patients who have a tendency to allergic reactions.
If symptoms worsen, or if you experience high fever, or if symptoms persist more than 10 days, a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.
If you take other medicines
You should not take this medicine if you are taking certain medicines (see “Do not take”).
If you are not sure that your medicine is on this list, or you are unsure about interactions with any other medicines, talk to your pharmacist. This includes medicines prescribed by your doctor and medicine you have bought for yourself.
How to take this medicine
Check the foil is not broken before use.
If it is, do no not take that capsule.
Start taking the capsules as soon as you get cold symptoms.
Adults and children of 12 years and over – take one or two capsules once per day
Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not chew.
This product is not suitable for children under the age of 12 years.
Do not take more capsules than the leaflet tells you to.
Do not take this medicine for more than 10 days.
If your symptoms do not improve after 10 days talk to a pharmacist or doctor.
If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.
Possible side effects
Most people will not have problems, but some may get some.
This medicine may trigger allergic reactions in people who are prone to them.

How to store this medicine
Keep this medicine in a safe place out of the sight and reach of children, preferably in a locked cupboard. There are no special storage requirements for this product.
Use by the date on the base of the carton. After this date return any unused product to your nearest pharmacy for safe disposal.
What is in this medicine
Each soft capsule contains 176 mg of dried pressed juice from fresh flowering Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench herb (20-28:1). This is equivalent to 3.5 g – 4.9 g of fresh flowering Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench herb.
As well as the active ingredient, the herbal preparation also contains maltodextrin, precipitated silicon dioxide, citric acid monohydrate.
The soft capsule contains refined soya bean oil, refined coconut oil, white beeswax, rice starch, fractionated palm kernel oil, phospholipids from soya beans, succinylated gelatine, glycerol, non-crystallising sorbitol solution 70%, titanium dioxide (E171), ferric (II, III) oxide (E172), quinoline yellow (E104), patent blue V (E131), purified water.
The pack contains 30 oval, green soft gelatine capsules.
