The eMC is updated daily and in real time by the 170+ contributing pharmaceutical companies and contains SPCs and Patient Information Leaflets.

To request a copy of the 2010 Compendium please email: servicedesk@medicines.org.uk or telephone 01372 388 381.

Whilst you await your copy, please do visit the eMC to view any of the information published within the Compendium. Access to the eMC does not require registration and is free of charge.

The Medicines Compendium is published by Datapharm Communications Ltd. The information you provide will be held securely by Datapharm and will not be passed on to any third party. It will be used solely to communicate with you on matters relating to the Medicines Compendium.

IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION

In recent years there has been a decline in the number of people requesting a copy of the Compendium. Additionally, because it is printed just once per year, and because SPC changes are published daily on the eMC, the Compendium is out of date as soon as it is published. Datapharm has therefore taken the decision to cease publication of the Compendium. The current 2010 edition, issued earlier this year, is the last edition to be published.

Datapharm is committed to continuing to meet the needs of those who feel the Compendium is still a valuable resource for them, for example for reasons of portability and in times where computers or the internet are not available. Datapharm is exploring alternative electronic formats and storage solutions, for example mobile applications, regularly updated CD-ROMs and USB sticks. For further information please email servicedesk@medicines.org.uk.
